Katherine: Maybe it is. 
Damon: No, no. That’s reserved for my brother. And you. And Bonnie. Even though she has every reason to hate me, still helped Stefan save me.
Katherine: Why do you sound so surprised? 
Damon: Cause she did it for you. Which means that somewhere along the way, you decided that I was worth saving. And I wanted to thank you for that.

I’m sure several novels were already written about this scene but I feel like adding my two cents anyways. There are two reasons I love it. First - Ian, Nina and the kiss are extremely beautiful, so much that it should be illegal. Second - Damon bares his soul for the first time and this soul is just as beautiful.
